My role in the process of producing direct mailings apart from creating the design and layout was to acquire and compare offers from vendors in relation to a set budget, prepare production files, choose paper and oversee print production. In addition, we personalized the mailing with the client‘s name (Great offers for you, Mr. Meyer!) and added the call-to-action on the back of the envelope maximizing the open rate.
The challenge for magazine ads was the limited space and time on the recipients‘ end required communicating content quickly and effectively to make the most out of a limited ad budget.
